I was browsing profiles, minding my own business, when this somewhat presumptuous message appears. It's not especially egregious or anything. It just struck me as rather amusing. Like, why not lead with the, "I saw you viewed my profile..." bit?
But I know the answer already. It was to attempt to put me on the back foot and establish his "authority" in the exchange. It's a common tactic, with which I am more than familiar.
Also amusing was the fact that his username seemed like he was confused as to what side of the slash he prefers. I don't mean indicated he is a switch. I mean it was just stupid. I'll paraphrase it for his rename.

I see. Well, I was browsing profiles, which generally involves viewing said profiles. I am not really a fan of the, "lets find out all the basics to see if we're compatible by having a drawn out conversation on social media/networking site", when the entire point of filling out a profile is to cover all that at the outset, before deciding whether to initiate contact. Your profile did not contain anything of note, so I moved on to the next.
