Belly

A form of obeisance in which the slave goes to her belly with her head face down to floor or boot/foot and palms down on floor. From this position, the slave can crawl on her belly as directed, lick or kiss the floor/ground or feet of the Master, and/or place the Master's foot on her head or neck, to show her full submission.

Nadu

The standard position of the Gorean pleasure slave. Usually the first position a slave is taught. the slave kneels and sits on heels with back straight, knees widely spread, breasts/chest forward, head up (often to the left) and palms resting on thighs. Common variations include turning the palms up and lowering the head.

To the left, Ramina demonstrates a variation of Nadu, with her head submissively lowered.

Below, she shows the position both with her head turned to the left, and straight ahead.

The photo to the right shows Khaos with a variation of Nadu where the palms are turned up. This often signals the slave's exceptional vulnurability or a desire to be used by the Master.

Below, she shows the position both with her head turned to the left, and straight ahead.

Obeisance

There are several positions of obeisance described in the books, the most common being one in which the slave starts from kneeling in Nadu and bends forward, placing her forehead to the floor/ground and extending her arms in front with palms flat on the ground. From this position, the slave may lick or kiss the feet of a free person.

Slave Lips

When this command is given, the slave must turn her head up towards the Master (from whatever position she is in) and pucker her lips for kissing. She may not move or break position until she is released with the kiss of a Master/Mistress or his/her command to release position.

Submission

The slave kneels before the Master, back on her heels, arms up and extended with wrists crossed and head lowered submissively between her arms. This is often used in the ritual of offering oneself to a Master to be enslaved, either willingly, or by the order of the Master. Usually, ritual phrases are said while in this position.

To the right, she demonstrates the standard position.

Tower

The slave kneels, as in nadu but with the thighs closed and hands resting on thighs with the wrists crossed.
This position is used most often for domestic "tower slaves" and for kneeling before free women.

Here, Khaos demonstrates a variation with her hands resting on her thighs the same as in Nadu, rather than with her wrists crossed.

Whipping Position

This position is also called "kneeling to the whip". It is a disciplinary position used , as the name suggests, for whipping a slave, in which the slave kneels, bowing her head to the ground/floor with her wrists crossed under her as though bound. In this position, the back and buttocks are exposed and easily accessible for lashing.

Wine
(serving)

In this first series of photos, Khaos demonstrates each step in the serve.

The slave walks beautifully to and from retrieving the vessel or filling the Master's cup.

Often, she is then to press the cup to her lower abdomen. In this, she implies that she is offering herself, as well as the wine, to the Master.

She raises the cup to her lips and delicately, lovingly kisses the side of the cup before offering it to the Master.

She then proffers the wine to the Master, arms raised and head lowered in deference.
