writting on the story Jonathan Livingston Seagull

Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach
There were a few things I found with this story and I will cover them in each part.

In Part One, we are shown the joy in following ones desires and dreams, that yes there may be consequences in
doing so, but the rewards out weigh the conciquences. People may try to talk you into being like everyone else and say you should not be diferent, even family, but you should follow your dreams and desires.

Part Two shows us that in following your dreams and desires can allow you to surpass even your wildest  thoughts and make you a better person for doing so, It also shows us that the desire and dreams don't end ther but the desire to better ones self  continues as we grow and transend who and what we are. It also tells us that the ultimate test to finding ones true self is ultimate love and that it is different for everyone and that each person must find their own path to that knowladge.

In the Third and final part, we are shown that the greatest love you can have is to teach and guide others into
following their dreams and desires. In doing so, you set yourself free, to open yourself up to new horizons and new possibilities, as well as opening the possibilities to others as well.

For me, what this story says is that we should never let anyone try to talk us out of what we really want to do. That we should follow our heart, and do what will make us happy, not what will make others happy instead. As I sit and think on this story I realize that I had been letting people limit me in following what I really wanted, but I also see how much happier I am now that I have followed my heart and run after what I truely want. I know know that I should never let anyone or anything limit me ever again.
